Can anybody tell me what size bolts thread etc to mount a 105 2Lt to an engine stand please

which way are you mounting it?  I assume they will be 8 x 1.25 in any case but worth checking!

That might be a bit under-spec if it's being mounted by the flywheel end of the block casting, to a generic stand like everyone uses for eights and the like.

It will be a bit hard to use bigger bolts given the threaded holes are 8 x 1.25, but plenty of people have mounted this way before.  The stands that use the side mounts are better, but most of those use three 8 mm studs
