612IEX - Great multi-purpose car: daily driver, weekend blaster or AlfaComp sprints.  This is a well-presented car that is rewarding to drive on the street or on the track - the ride is firm but not harsh and its handling is nicely balanced with a broad engine power band. Class and regularity winner 2007 Qld AlfaComp.  Car is located in Brisbane.

All work on the car since I have owned it has been carried out by Avanti Spares - major work comprises:

Complete engine rebuild including:
1. Head - new valves and seals, reprofiled inlet ports, 10548 cams, machined for high-lift cam clearance
2. Block - new 10.4:1 high-compression pistons (machined for valve clearance), oil windage tray, fully balanced
3. Rebuilt carburettors

Complete transmission rebuild including:
1. Limited-slip differential set to 47%
2. 4.3:1 crown-wheel (does not bog down from a standing start)
3. Lower 3/4 gear cluster (giving closer ratios overall)
4. New synchros
5. New centre and rear flex couplings
6. Rebuilt gear selector linkages (no gearlever slop)
7. New clutch plates, master and slave cylinders

Complete (lowered) suspension rebuild including:
1. Revalved yellow Koni dampers
2. 28mm PACE torsion bars and matching rear King Springs
3. Reinforced front and rear sway-bar mounts
4. 4 degree front camber kit

The car is fully road-worthy and registered until 26/6/2009.  Included with the car are the original log-books and manuals, receipts file. a spare 27mm front sway-bar, a spare fuel cap (hard to find), a new CDI system (never fitted) and a sports steering wheel with reach-adjustable hub.  Please note that there is no stereo, air-conditioning or heater fitted to the car.
