More like 13K now with all the extras.
Would be able to deliver the car early Feb.

Wanted to offer this to a good home before giving it to the general market.
For personal family reasons I'm selling my 75' Spider which has given me so much pleasure these past two years.
I'm after 15k for the entire package.
The car is registered until April 09 and will have a current RWC.
It's an original Australian delivered car with matching engine chassis numbers checked through Alfa's archive
This car comes with its own very substantial portable garage and storage system.
You could put this up in your yard and not have to think twice about your local council.
More about that later.
This Spider has not seen the rain and lived in a plastic bag for the two years I've owned it.
This is not a concourse car but the body is in excellent condition, bar a few minor scuffs.
It was given a very thorough paint job by two brothers. By my reckoning the job was done about three and a half years ago and the car has lived indoors ever since.
The car was owned and to be kept by one, the other is a professional painter/panel beater. It's a very thick bare metal respray in a new Alfa red.
It's glowing and very slick.
The cloth hood is original but was re sewn with a new window put in the back before I got it.
The car has a siren alarm and a great Sony CD MP3, amp in the boot and 3 way speakers neatly mounted on the back wall. Did not cut away any metal to mount them.
The wheels are 15X7 widened steelies with the correct Spider hubcaps, tyres near new.
These wheels are sought after for track work.
(The extra rubber on the road in a car like this is awesome.)
The gearbox shifts fine with a little care.
Motor does not use oil or do anything odd and pulls really well.

The seats I got from the U.S. They're cloth rebuilt and are excellent.
The Nardi gear knob from Europe.
Been buying bits and pieces ever since I've owned it.
Got some spares I'll list at the bottom.
Here's a list of things I've done or had done in order since I've had the car.

Checked all the front end and re greased the bearings.
Have a good tin of the re spray paint and touched up any small discrepancies.
Brand new wiper washer arms. (just coz the old ones looked dull)
Stainless bolts and a rubber shim under the wiper valance.
Reconditioned the block assembly that holds and replaced the rear axle straps.
Refit a working window washer foot pump.
New clutch master and slave.
Fit U.S. Hot Spark brand electronic ignition.
New ignition leads (the real originals), dizzy cap and rotor
New drive shaft doughnut and support bearing
Del Orto DHLA 40 carbs set and balanced plus timing checked.
Replaced the rear springs, new shims and urethane bushes in the rear axle T bar.
New battery with an isolator.
A couple of oil changes engine and gearbox and diff just for good measure.

These pictures were snapped at a student photo shoot I donated the car for last year.
The pictures of the garage are off the mobile phone.

The garage is a semi permanent Shelter King brand of heavy duty vinyl canvas with my added additional layer of shade cloth over the outside to reduce the UV by 70%.
It's very substantial in construction and is equipped with ground anchors.
See pictures.
The car sits on a raised wooden floor comprised of pallets with flooring grade chipboard screwed on top.
The car is parked in the garage inside a Shelter King zip up car cover with a substantial bag of silica gel to lower the humidity.
There is also a soft taylor made material scratch cloth between the duco and cover.
I found this to be an excellent storage option isolating the car from all dampness no matter what the weather.
Also, I set it up smaller to accommodate the Spider but the cover and garage could fit an LTD if you wanted.
I'd be happy come out and show any buyer the simple setup procedure of the garage.

Spares include a pair of new front disk rotors, a pair of headlight buckets two older door cards, inner door handle and various other little bits.
PM me if interested.

Dear Alfisti
102 looks and no replys :-\
Are not these cars not popular any more
or is it the money?
I guess Alfettas and such make a better play car being a bit more modern
and not convertable but this is an honest sale and a nice example of a classic.
Any opinions most appreciated.

Looks like a really great car Jack. Pity I don't have any more room in my garage. I think all 105's are a really great drive and Spiders are making a resurgence I believe. Why don't you bring it along to Spettacolo this Sunday and show it off. You are very likely to get a few interests.

Hey Jack,
Nice example
I think the money your are asking is very reasonable, it even comes with its own garage !!!!!!!!! Jeepers

My wife loves Spiders but cant convince her that she needs one even though I think she does. Plus I could use the LSD diff for the Junior !!!!  ;D

You advertising it in the right place (forum) bring it on Sunday and you might get lucky, i dont think youll have a problem given the condition price, and wait for it............. portable garage !!!

Give it time youll sell it
Good Luck

P.S If your there on Sunday ill take pictures and show the missus - fingers crossed

Oh bugger!
Cant believe this! Normally I'm quite lucky with my scheduling of things as I work freelance and
have to space things out, but I've booked a family holiday this weekend coming and I'm gutted!
I've spent hours crawling over this car and it's fair to say I've been a bit obsessive.
I've ever only got to do one EMR with the club and it was the best drive i think I've ever had in the thing.
I would like nothing more than to bring it to an event like this and just walk around with my tongue hanging out. Absolutely gutted!
BTW booked Tiger Air and have had a bad experience even before I've flown.
I'll blame them!
Bah! Humbug!!!
Thanks for the encouragement.

Ha Ha Rah Rah
Stop pulling my chain tensioner!
I'm sure my little arachnid will pale into insignificance at the meer
afterglo of some of the things that will turn up.
I'm just so cheesed off that I didn't look forward at what I would like to have done
in the month.
Oh well.
Will there be some photos posted of the event?
Mechanical hilties, closeup stuff, list of awards with pics?
I'll pour over that when I come back.

Phil I am sure you can give your race car a bit of a clean & polish.  As long as you are not judging that class, you never know you might win !

As for the spider, could be a concours winner in its own right and maybe next year will be added to the field by the new owner.

Cheers.

Come on Jack, surely you have got a trustworthy friend, neighbour, enthusiastic nephew or someone to drive it? Could mean the difference of a sale.......

Oh boy.
Unless you guys are dry as old toast your getting whipped into a frenzy for no good reason.
I said "This is not a concourse car"
The body does look real good but to the greater community that might drive up
I'm sure there's Spiders out there with more original and complete looks.
I'll look into the possibilities of getting it there.
Oh, have not filled out an entry form.
Oh well we'll see.
If it gets there you'll know it by the wheels.
205 r15. They complete the look SOOO good.
Have fun at the show.
I'll check my mail next week.
Cheers
