Hello fellow members, John from Hobart here.   I recently purchased. A lovely 147 with intent of completing in the next Baskerville 1000 6hr regularity event down here in July, as well as some club days, hill climbs etc..
Interested to know if anything to watch out for or replace apart from the timing belt,   A great car , done just over 200K and everything seems to work, only paid $800 for the car unreg .
Can't seem to add a photo though
Cheers
John

Ps looking for some 15" 5x98 mags to fit my racing tyres too

Welcome John and agree the timing belt and water pump is the number one priority on these engines, particularly if no history is available. If you are planning to do the work yourself there are numerous posts on the forum on How to or Youtube videos. If no warning lights are appearing on dash then that is a good sign and would be looking at purchasing a OBDII scanner to help in future diagnostics of a the car. Finally for WTB 15 wheels suggest you create a post of your requirement on this forum in the applicable WTB/Sell section and you should start receiving PM of were to buy (freight needs to be factored in, if unavailable locally). With regards to how to upload photos refer to the following link

Thx for your reply, yep got myself a scanner, no new codes showing .. an old misfire fault came up but removed and nothing since, and yes I have watched the 147 timing belt change on you tube , looks reasonably simple, I have the cam locks & tension scanner on order too.

Also include a couple pics of the car

Cheers John

Bargain for $800. With regards to misfire fault code here is a link to a post that might be useful in diagnosing the problem (Faulty coil pack).
