Hi guys,

Selling my 2008 Alfa 159 Black Wagon - 2.4 JTDm TI 6 speed automatic

Its currently not running, and I just am hopeful of getting some of the money back i've put into it.

Story:

Bought it for $6000 with hail damage on the bonnet, and some damage on the left front quarter panel from previous owner.
- Was a project.

Work i've done.

While the vehicle sat around for a while, it had a dead battery. I replaced this 6 months ago, shortly before having the vehicle put into a repairer.
- It was with my repairer for approximately 3 months, they outsourced the panel repairs and sourced parts from NSW from an Alfa wrecking yard in the same colour.

Things i've had done:

Replaced front bumper and right hand fog light
Replaced bonnet
Replaced front bumper
- Had my mechanic do a full check over, as car was sitting around a while
- Dropped engine and transmission, placed a sleeve over transmission to stop it leaking
- Had turbo pipes smoke tested for any leaks and sealed up
- Had intercooler pipe gaskets replaced to seal up a tiny oil leak
- Front control arms both replaced (genuine)
- All up the work i've had done to the car including panel work and mechanical work cost me $11,000 and change.

Car was running fine, and then I took it to a mechanic that was supposed to be a European Alfa specialist in Mornington - He broke more then he fixed.

I was working from home for 12 months, I only drove the car once a week on saturdays for a second job. I did this a few weeks ago, and on the way home it started spluttering. It didnt turn back on after that.

In the mean time i'd taken it to my mechanic and this idiot in Mornington who specialised in Alfas (HAH!) - My mechanic told me there was nothing wrong with my turbo after i'd complained it was either boosting really low or really high when cold and making a noise.
- They tested it, said nothing wrong
- Mechanic in mornington tested it, said entire turbos gone
- My diagnoses is that the VNT is sticking because of the car sitting around so long.

Now im trying to be completely honest here so you know what you're buying - It only has 124,000 genuine ks on it. The engines was purring like a kitten and the transmission shifts perfectly, but due to what I believe is the turbo not functioning as it should, its building up with Soot therefore causing the DPF to be clogged and thus car will not start.

You are welcome to ask me any questions you want on 0422 296 371 or on here, it was working perfectly and only just roadworthied and reregistered 3 months ago. I dont know how to post the images on here.
