Maybe somebody should make this one a sticky? and anyone proven to be asking questions to which answers are provided for in the article could be immediately and permanantly banished from the forum?  :P

Thats a bit harsh Mat, especially when the review is pretty basic, and covers the earlier models rather than the later JTS ones.

Also, the comments on rear leg room, let alone the luggage capacity of the wagon is rubbish.  For one thing I can actually fit my mini mal surfboard (7'3") in the car and also when the rear seat is folded down, as per any wagon it has heaps of room for a mid size wagon.  I would bet it is no worse than say an Audi A4 wagon or a Subaru wagon etc.  Afterall it is no use comparing the 156 Sportwagon against say a chook or crapadore wagon.  Dave

No intent to offend anyone, just a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour that may not have come across appropriately. It was a good find and provided a good starting point to many of the open ended questions which regularly seem to pop up on the topic of 156's. or i seemed to think so at the time anyway. and i can't be bothered re reading it all again.
