Documentation for an 159 2.4JTDm says it has been remapped by Alfamen in Melbourne. It says it is a stage 3 remap, but doesn't state any other information. Alfamen seems to have closed their doors unfortunately, so I can't ask them.
Does anybody know what they would have done?

As the day goes

#1
Removed the regeneration exhaust box and put in a straight through pipe.

Closed off the EGR so that oil is not put back into the inlet manifold. Should see less turbo lag as a result.

Possibly kept the swirl flaps open.

Running on a richer mixture that gives more grunt on the same throttle at the expense of slightly hotter  temp.  The gear box and coolant system should be able to cope.

Ah that makes sense. Thank you so much!

I had a stage 3 DPF delete and remap done and it made a huge improvement to driveability and fuel economy. Beware though that your insurance company won't like it.
