Brake woes..

Good news is that after a thorough flush and bleed of the brakes today, I now have non dangerous brakes.

Yes, mine had all of a sudden got to the point of being very very bad.

So much gunk flushed out and now a great strong pedal,, but the braking still has a very dead feel.

On my drive home, I made a connection. My "normal" slightly rough engine idle got considerable worse with the brakes applied.
Oh Oh!! Booster failure.

Its a 43 year old car I'm not going to grumble.

So from attempted theft, failed fan thermo switch, random flat battery, propshaft engineering, to now brake booster issue..its been a rough fortnight for the little Alfa.

Question..Can these brake boosters be repaired?
If so, who does them in the land of Oz.?

I did find Pec Australia exchange service.. Opinions/experience??

When my GTV started exhibiting a very wooden feeling brake pedal it was the rubber diaphragm in the brake booster that had failed. I swapped thd boster out for another secondhand unit which fixed the problem.
