Climate control issue hot one side, cold the other - Giulietta.

I'm sure this has no doubt been covered before but has anyone had any luck fixing the air con issue where one side is hot and the other cold? I believe this isn't uncommon and it is an actuator lever arm that breaks. I would be very interested if anyone has fixed this without having to remove half the inside of the car, or perhaps a specialist who has experience fixing this?
