Hi Guys

Just back home after a lovely weekends driving. The GTV6 purred like a kitten and did well on all the very windy roads (especially to road to Yarra Junction from Neerim South) :-)

One issue IO did have thoguh is that the rear vision mirror is very loose. A couple of corners and I have to give it a bang back into place.

Now I am assuming (couldnt see any) that there is not a "loosness" adjustment.

So the questions is does anyone know of some sort of compound (maybe like loctite etc) I can put into the joint so it will tighten up.

Catch ya

Shane

Had the same problem, drive 100 metres and you are looking at the carpet. Took it to Beninca's for the RWC, they fixed it. I think if you look at the back, front? (other side to the mirror), looking through the windscreen from outside there a couple of screws in the black plastic. Maybe the back comes off, and you can get access to the ball joint.

Or give them a call and ask them what to do.

Good luck,

AL.

I had a look on the weekend and the screws I mentioned are in fact on the top of the mirror housing, either side of the ball joint. Countersunk Phillips head, so you'd need one of those right angle screw drivers (like an Allen Key).

AL,
thanks for your input, as soon as i get the car back {getting the gearbox re-built}, i will fix that damn mirror.

I'm a bit late on this topic, but is this not as simple as spinning the rear view mirror around 360 degrees to fix? Works for mine every time.

Alex,
spoton mate it worked a treat.
cheers michael ;D ;D
