Alfisti,

I owned a red Duetto Spider in the UK in the late 1970s, registered as KHR 910F, which I blew up and then rebuilt the engine.
Now at the age of 72, I have been tracking down cars I have owned over the years and my spider seems to have survived (the only one of many). It has been rebuilt to a high standard, featuring on an official Alfa stand (at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2006) and has been featured in magazines and on TV as a leading restoration.
My attempts to track down the owner led me to a UK restorer, Dave Hood, and the Black and White Garage.
Attached is a copy of the then owner's advert for the Spider, circa 2010.
From these sources I have learnt that the car was exported to Australia.
I would love to provide some history to the present owner and beg a picture or two. Previously I worked in Australia a few times inspecting medicines manufacture for the UK Government, like your local TGA but this could be a good excuse for another trip!
The club seems to be thriving in Australia with many members and divisions.
I would like to get in touch with the current owner and if any AROCA members recognise the car and could assist me, I would be very grateful.
Of all the many cars I have owned this one always put a smile on my face when I drove off.

Thank you,
Ian

... is the chassis number listed in Willie's Duetto register?

The UK DVLA only shows it as SORN in 2006, no chassis number (unlike Aust.)
'66 Duetto (lacework of doom)
'73 1600 GT Junior (ensconced)
'03 156 1.9JTD Sportwagon (daily driver)
