I'm somewhat new to pre-1982 GTVs, do the main body parts (hatch, doors, bonnet & front fenders) from a 1982 GTV fit a 1980 GTV ?

Hi Kartone,

There's a gold coloured Alfetta GTV (not sure what year) at Imlachs Self Serve Auto Parts (also known as Centre Road Wreckers) at 1602 Centre Road Springvale.

I saw the car today when I was searching for other parts. The door top sills were rusty, and the rest of the car is also pretty weather-worn, but I think it still had the rear hatch. However, I wasn't really paying attention, so I can't vouch for the condition of the hatch. Nevertheless, it maybe worth giving them a call... number is (03) 9547 7377.

I believe you are talking about the older shape GTV?? If so yes it will fit.... It has rubber mouldings in lieu of chrome but thats the only difference.. Cosmetics rather than fitment.... Not sure about other main body parts....
