Hi Spoynter,

I also have a 1968 series 1 1750, but a crappy rusty version.

The series 1 has the flying butress seats and is one of the more desireable of the GTV range with the great looking dash and more "pure" grill than the 2000.

If it is as good as he says it is a cheap price.

lombardi,

You should say if it is a series 1 or series 2 and the condition of the interior and if you have the buttress seats.  Pictures would also help.

Good luck with the sale.  You should find a buyer.

Gary Pearce

1750 GTV was first introduced in 1967, although in this part of the world we didn't see them until 1968. The series 1 is considered the best with the buttress seats. Love to see some pictures.

Sorry my mistake-
I have a 1968 manufactured step-nose 1600 GTV and presumed that the 1750 hadn't yet been produced  :)

No worries,thanks for your interest.ciao

If I may steel this thread for a second.  Sam, as you may recall I have a '69 1750 with the flying butress seats.  I think they changed the seats in 1970 to the more conventional shape ??  However, the 1600 engine continued right through into the flush nose 1600 Junior.  Norm used to have a green one if you recall.  The 1600 engine then was continued over (in europe) into the series 1 Alfettas.  Albeit that perhaps like other Alfetta engines there would have been some slight changes.

I also think, but possibly may be incorrect without checking my books that the stepnose shape continued through to '69 at least with the 1.3 Gt Junior, before being phased out.

Now back to the thread and good luck with the sale.  Dave
