Race fans, here's the media release for next weekend's TopGear round 3 at QR Ipswich. For those not racing, come along and support your club mates as they take on the Dattos, Hondas, Geminis and bloody MX5s. I know Sunday the 10th is Mother's Day, but what better way to treat mum to a great day out!

TOPGEAR RACERS READY TO RUMBLE

Amateur motor racing is set to take centre stage at Queensland Raceways' Ipswich circuit when round three of the TopGear Racing Series fires into action on the weekend of May 9 and 10.
Designed as the perfect entry to motor racing for weekend warriors, the TopGear Racing Series provides an excellent spectacle for auto fans with its variety of cars, non-stop action and FREE entry.
The full weekend of thrills and spills sees practise on Saturday morning, sprints Saturday afternoon and racing all day Sunday. Racers get to test their skills on all four layouts of the QR Ipswich circuit ("National", "Sportsman", "Clubman" and "Sprint") throughout Sunday. Qualifying and two of these races are held on the high-speed National layout - used each year by the V8 Supercars – where many drivers will hit speeds in excess of 200km/h on the back straight.
Round three of the TopGear Racing Series features sedan over 3300cc, sedan under 3300cc, sports car and super kart categories, with a variety of makes and models in each class. Sedans include everything from classic Datsun 1600s to brand new Mitsubishi Evo Xs and former V8 Supercars, while the sports car category will feature Porsches, Alfa Romeos and Mazda MX5s among others.
