Very good question. But as is often the case with very good questions, there is often not an obvious answer. We mention sponsors on the site, but they contribute money. One of the features of clubs is the social aspect, interaction and helping each other out. Members have many businesses not necessarily automotive. We can't have every member hijacking the site to promote their business, but we don't want to deprive members of legitimate help. A lateral thinking suggestion may be to create a members' business section on the site and charge a fee of say $50, to have your name and contact details listed. Just a thought.

Being a dedicated car club website, the content would normally be based on related topics with only a few exceptions.  Also there is the management of such an idea.  So we support our sponsors and promote their services.  These businesses support the club by advertising and assisting in other ways (racing support, Spettacolo etc).

Indeed the club (or any club) will benefit and develope by the efforts made by volunteers and sponsors helping out in running of our club and hosting functions.

Joe's suggestion has merit but I can not necessarily see the effectiveness in a secondary 'business board' at a base cost (say $50) in generating  support for such businesses. Good idea but is it worth the effort ?  I do not know the end benefit and if it is really worth it for you and for us to host it ?

If you look at many of the threads here, a range of ideas and needs are dealt with covering  many needs.  Some are full resto's at some cost, upgrades etc with one of our sponsors. At the other end, some have underlying themes for alternate maintenance options as opposed to taking the car to a dedicated Alfa specialist (sponsor).  So its a mix from one end to the other.

Dehne, you are more than welcome to submit any ideas to the club committee and see how you go.

Cheers.
