2000 166

hi all...although not an owner yet i am bidding on a 2000 166 saloon on ebay.i just love the style and built quality looks good.bidding is up to 7500 and seeing as i am serious about going further i have registered here.please could anyone advise of any common problems i should look for as i am haveing a good look and drive of the vehicle in a couple of days time.approx 150000 on the clock.
in the mean time i will go and check-out the red book listing.i have no idea of the value of the car....cheers...peter

Hi Peter,

Firstly, please use correct punctuation, without it your posts are hard to read.  So that's full stop, a couple of spaces then a capital letter.

As to your 166, I know of no systemic 166 problems.  The car has a lot of k's on it, so check everything that's rubber.  Suspension and engine mounts in particular.  The 24V V6 is one of the last in the all alloy V6, truly Alfa engines, it's a great motor if cared for, so a service history for the car is vital.
