My nephew left a pair of SZ cams in the boot of his Alfa 90 not knowingly he had shut a towel in the boot ::).
So for the last two months the 90's boot has been taking in water and the cams are rusted up.

I have heard of using a vinegar bath and EVAPO-RUST a American product.
What do you guy's recommend?

John.

I'd go with this option (probably 1200 grit) for the lobes and bearing surfaces, wire brush for the rough cast areas, then give the whole thing a good wipe over with some fresh engine oil for future protection once done (unless they are going straight into an engine).
