I thought I should say hi in here first.

I am looking at purchasing my first Alfa Romeo and looking at the following models:

147
156
159
GT

I am looking at second hand in the 2004 - 2007 year range.

As you can tell I am only just starting to look with my wide range of possible cars.

Good luck with your purchase, I suppose one question is do you need 2 or 4 doors? and then narrow down from there.

My wife and I have the same approach when buying a new car, there is a wide range that we sit with it for a while and it slowly gets narrowed down.. The 159 was not even on our radar until we saw one in the Alfa dealership, then our wide range got narrowed straight away to a Black 2.2 159.

Yes well that is a good point.

As I am a big bloke who is about 6"1 it might be more of a case of which one will I fit?

The 159 and the 156 are probably going to be better for a bloke my size I am guessing?

I am going to the Brisbane Alfa Dealer on Friday to have a look and sit in a few cars and see.

Yeah Im 6" and the 159 is a good fit...

Careful! 

I'm also 6' and tops of the hair(!) just brush the lining.  That's because our 159 has a sunroof.  So just check if the 159 is with/wihout a sunroof!
