I've discovered an unconnected sender or switch which wasn't part of my previous 105 cars. It's on a 1984 Alfetta sedan & is on the fuel pump casting. What is it? Can an Alfetta expert identify it?

Thanks Choderboy

I'll try to do that today. The only thing I can see that it could be is a "low fuel pressure sender". Why?

OK photo attached. The sender is just above the fuel pump.

Thanks

Thanks all.
Yes, the space age dashboard  has warning lights for everything, some of which are no longer connected (fast idle, choke, etc.). Any temporary poor earth results in a quite lovely display. Why on earth did Alfa allow people to tinker with the design so as to make the car more "modern"?

I think I'll forget about this sender; the car runs quite well without it.

Thanks
