Mike

Hi,

I have up fo expression of interest, my group S car which I have only just finished.  The reason I would consider selling is that I moved from Melbourne where group S is strong to Hobart where no one has heard of it.  So I would use teh cash to get into somehting more relevant to my location.

I have many photos, and can provide.  I would consider a swap for something interesting (GTV6 or Alfetta sedan/GTV).

Some of the details include:

engine-full PACE motor (fully rebuilt with forged internals, high list long duration cams, and 48mm intake valves, recurved dizzy) producing 190 ish hp, about 500Km's old and not yet raced.  PACE extractors, oil cooler, 48mm webers, extend inlets, uprated radiator in stock housing.  Fyull stainless mandrel bend exhaust.
tyres - superlites wrapped in the latest bridgestone road legal slicks again with <500km's on them
cage- fully welded in cage with paperwork and applicable to group S.
suspension - camber adjusted, koni yellows and uprated torsion and rear springs.
Many many other mods, eg sound deading removed, fire extinguisher installed, remote start, momo seats, 4/5 point harness's etc etc.

Car is in exceptionally good condition, probably too good to race and presents very well in Rosso.

I have around 25K in reciepts over the last 18 months, with 12k on the engine alone.  If there is any interest, let me know, this is certainly a pain free way to get into group S, trust me, it takes a long time and a lot of cash to build one.  The car is sensational to drive and is seriously quick.  The next mod I planned to do was replace glass with lexan which would knock some more weight out of it.

Interested people can drop me a line, serious people will be provided with photos etc.  If I get a chance I'll put a couple on here, but to be honest, with a newborn, time is limited right now.

Car is located in Tasmania and can be transported to any state at reasonably low cost.

hmmmmmmmm..........or a swap with lancia delta hf integrale............

Mike

One alfa 90 is enough for me, but don't get me wrong, I love it :-).  Integrali, why didn't I think of that?!  I'll take 2 ;-).

I will seriously consider swaps guys, lots of interesting cars out there.  Cash would probably be the more sensible soltution, given I don't have time to drive this one, but I can't help myself I guess.

reasonable amount of interest out there guys, the car is for sale, so hopefully it goes to a good home.  I should add that I have a fully rebuilt twin spark box with 50% lock diff that can be put into the car, should that be a combination someone is willing to pay for.

Mike you should keep it and start competing in some CMI events with it.  I am certain you would have a lot of fun, should be most competitive in it.  Who needs Group S when, for a start you can compete in some of the best run Hillclimb events in the Country, let alone Targa, the Heritage Rally, Mountain Circuit Challenge etc.  As superb as your GTV is, I would be most surprised if you would be able to re-coup all you spent building it up.  So why not enjoy the GTV for what you have created.  Just a thought.

Dave, are you looking to buy a car?...

500 bucks is the first cash offer I have had so far, anyone want to raise that? ;-)...Dave, you seem keen, throw your hat in.

Now Mike, you know that a fella can never have too many Alfas, and it is Red, very Red, and kitted out just itching for competition use.  So it would be extremely tempting (read if I had the $$$$ you must surely be wanting for this one) I would be over to your garage faster than you can say GTV, but alas I seriously don't have that kind of money.

While I appreciate you only have Dehne's $500  ;D offer at this point, I wouldn't worry about it.  I am sure there will be someone out there willing to offer you a decent and fair price for all your hard work and $$$ spent on it.

It's a win win situation anyway Dave, if I sell it, i have some much needed cash right now, or if I don't, I have a nice race car :-).  Certainly not in any rush and will be keen for the next CMI event.
