Queenslanders,

Only two Alfas competing at Lakeside this weekend, but for anyone who appreciates historic touring cars, this will be one of the best race meetings in Queensland for many years. I dropped out to Lakeside for practice today and there were about 1000 spectators looking on. 1000 spectators for practice!

it's $20 tomorrow and $30 Sunday for Group A/C, Group N, HQs, Geminis, Trans Am Championship, regularity and demo laps from some classics such as the Beechey Monaro, Moffat Mustang, Geoghegan Mustang, Dick Johnson XC coupe and more. Paul Morris is also going to have a crack at beating Glenn Seaton's long standing touring car lap record of 51.28 seconds.

I'll be there Sunday hanging out with club member Rob Robson, who is running his Alfetta GTV in regularity, making it four appearances from four 50th anniversary events for Robbo. And he travels 1000km from Mackay to Brisbane to take part. Well done Robbo!

Cheers,

Brent
