you can stipulate on your item description that it is also advertised elsewhere or you can simply withdraw it from ebay as being "no longer available".

Thanks for comments guys.  As the vendor I have the right to withdraw item from sale at any time.  An eBay purchaser is entering into a contract to buy once they bid.  Cheers,  Nick

This is the problem with ebay because if a vendor has a right to withdraw an item for sale, legally no bidder is ever under contract. A legal contract requires clear 'offer & acceptance' before it exists and hence ebay creates this problem by allowing vendors to withdraw an item for sale. ebay claim a bid is binding but legally, it will not hold in Australian courts.
