I was a very excited chap last weekend because I was able to successfully create the double flares on the brake pipe work to enable me to fit the new adjustable pressure reducing valve on my 2L 105.

I ended up buying the RY Tool Double Flare tool as pictured that is certainly far easier to use and gives a precise flare compared to the more common type tools that have separate pieces.

Because the flaring part of the tool is attached to the gripping part, it was easy to use under the car to flare the end of the brake pipe that comes from the engine bay to the PRV.

For $99 this tool makes flaring very easy and you only need to get a reasonable tube cutter (mine was a kingchrome one for $10), make sure you debur the inside of the pipe after cutting and lightly file the out side at 45 degrees and you are away!!
