The guy may be a hoon.

But he does have the best 75 in Australia and he does display some car control. ;D

He'll be without a nice 75 if the people in law enforcement saw that video, given that it is such a distinctive car.

How do you figure that?  It's had a lot of work put into it, some of which is very nice, but some of which is pretty gash (in my humble opinion).  There are two in the Vic club which are far nicer, and which do their racing on the track as well!  One with a big hp turbo TS, the other with a race tuned 24V.

Sheldon here is my reasoning.

Don't talk about the ex Latin car I know very well this car.
The TS Turbo is a race car and really should not be on the road(even though it's registered in Vic)  or compared to a road registered car.The TS turbo engine is worth maybe half of the ($18,000) of a  Glenwood 3.2 24v throttle bodied engine.

The race tuned 24v sounds nice but I know nothing of this car.

I should have said best 75 - road registered road car in Australia.

Here's what I know about the you tube car. Bare metal respray, the guy is a spray painter so it's had a quality paint job with an expensive Evo body kit Rs suspension ,Performatec clutch,Lsd gearbox, etc ,etc  and  3.2 24v engine as detailed above
(Things I don't like would be the Rx7 bonnet mod and the eye brows and the black bonnet but hell you can change these in 30 minutes)

Getting a $50 recycled Camira from the wreckers on the basis that they throw in the bald rear tyres with it and a $5 modification to the front brakes will make the same smoke .... come to think of it, forget the Camira it's too expensive just get the free tyres and torch 'em. They'll smoke for hours !!  ::)

This car was at spettacolo this year, and it seemed to be a bit more toned down. The eyelids are gone, the bonnet scoop is gone and it doesn't really sound as loud as it used to. His also resprayed the engine cam cover and so on.

Definately very quick, sounds awesome, you could get the same tyre smokin donut result with a Twinspark but I wouldnt know anything about that........

If making smoke is the aim surely it is cheaper to just use wet grass on a fire?  ::)
