Door Latch 2006 Alfa 156

Hi all - I've just bought a 2006 Alfa 156 and completely fallen in love with it.

This may be a stupid question (as previously I have been neither a mechanically minded or car person) - but do I need to use a specfic 156 part to replace the door latch? Is there an appropriate aftermarket part?

My passenger door fails to catch and my gf basically needs to slam it just to get it shut  - the only drawback on what is a beautiful car.

you can adjust the latch with an allen key so it sit out a little further

Do not know what state you live in as you forum post is brief but try your local Alfa Romeo Specialist or Alfa wreckers yard in your state.  They may suggest a replacment new or otherwise or a quick fix.
