Braided colored hoses, And revamped Headlights also

Morning All,

are there the color metal braided hoses available for the 2lt 83 gtv ? whilst im replacing the water pump and hoses seeing if a bit of bling under the hood is possible?

Also Need to replace couple of headlights , one got water indside so has brown internal staining and one other side has bracket broken, and as the brightness for both low and high beam isnt great was wondering if there is any outthere or somewhere in SA that does a good replacement ..

You're not gonna believe this, but you can fix the dim headlights by.....installing relays! 

Yes, just like the windows.  Apparently these things are powered from the ignition switch, or something like that, and there is too much voltage drop.  Or something.  To be honest the extent of my understanding of auto-electronics is that the colourful wires hold in the smoke.

But I do know that these fixes work for your two problems, and I've seen the results. 

I think there was a thread on this forum a while ago about upgrading GTV lights, might be worth trying to find it.

I'm just letting you know so that you don't spend money on new lights and wonder why these are dim as well.  I'd try and fix yours before trying to buy some new ones, I think they're reasonably hard to come by.
