Hi troops, seeking a replacement windbscreen for my '76 Alfetta GT. Cracked the damb thing with only 10" to cut.. Not Happy Jan...
If no offers or screens sitting around, what options are there via retail market?

Check Windscreens O'Brians, i checked them a few months ago and they had a good supply, Colin.

Col, I was at O, O, O, Obriens a few weeks ago getting the screen on the 159 replaced. They had a listing for an Alfetta GT with a $600 price tag, they couldn't say if it was the glue in or rubber surround style. I was too scared to ask if that was a supply and install figure. I'm gonna have the glass fitter at my smash repairers to have a search to see if I can get a better price... should have been more patient with the removal, damn it! In consulation the glass fitter said he couldn't guarentee non breakage himself due to the thickness and age of the glass. One of the ptifalls of laminated front screens I guess. It was like walking on thin ice, you hear the scrap and chink, then the ever increasing lightning bolt of a crack which is soul destroying.

I'm fairly confident that I can do better than $600. It just may take some time which I have plenty of with the build.

Good reference.  He'll need the one listed last line on page 18 though - the earlier bonded version.  The later rubber mounted ones are slightly smaller.

Thanks guys, I should measure the screen just to be sure. The pricing is certainly closer to the mark to what my repairer envisaged. I'll let you know how I go with the catalogue, found an updated 2011 catalogue on a quick search.

Cool Jesus, try Autoglasswarehousebrisbane, they have some Alfa Romeo windscreens on ebay, it will have to be Australian delivery for a windscreen , the cost for a screen from the UK would be horrible, Colin.
