Hi,

Firstly, i'm a complete noob (but learning) about my car.
I currently have the old 16" wheels on my MY2004 alfa 156. I was hoping to upgrade to a set of 18" wheels (or 17" if 18s won't fit) but I don't know where to begin looking.
Ideally I'd like to buy them locally in melb.

My 156 is black so I was thinking of getting something that looks like:

or

According to alloywheels.com my car has fitting requirements:
ake : Alfa Romeo   Model : 156   Year : 98>   PCD : 5x98   Offset : 35 to 45   Bore : 58.1   Fittings : B 12x1.2

no idea what this mean but if someone can point me in the right direction in finding something i'm after i'd really appreciate it. I was also hoping to sell my old wheels to cut down the cost.
Cheers

The PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter - basically how far apart the bolt holes are) on these cars is quite 'rare' in the sense that there aren't many other cars with the same measurement.  So there is not the range of wheels available that there could be, but there are options out there.  Just make sure you take all those figures you quoted there to any wheel merchants you go to.

Any wheel from other 156s, 147s, GTs, and GTVs will fit also.

The wheels in your pics there are similar(ish) to one of the original optional wheels for the 156 (or it could have been standard on the Ti maybe- unsure about that), so they may be an easily obtainable option.  This is what they look like....http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Alfa-Romeo-156-147-75-GTV6-164-17-X-7-Wheels_W0QQitemZ280189054200QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item413c91acf8
