GTV6 1986 timing belts

Differing opinions on this-unlike modern alfas with timing belt intervals of 60k some mech believe that due to the older gtv6 having metal tensioners they do not have to be changed till every 100k-can someone clarify this.rgrds ciao

The 75 owners handbook does recommend 60k km intervals for the timing belt.
