Phil, the only reason I have installed the veneers without the chrome is because I didnt have it. I wish I did because the junction between the vinyl and veneer is awful. Like most things on an old car, they look good but dont look to close. this is the case with mine, its not a proper job but at first glance looks very respectable.

by the way Gary, mine is a series 2 1750, if I had a series 1 I probably wouldn't de-bumper it but in saying that I can bolt mine on whenever I want. I too love the cars in original condition but these beautiful bodies lend themselves to this and why not if it can look this good!!!
