Was thinking of going down to the island on Saturday for the historics. Is the club going to have a presence there or is there a convoy going down on Saturday on Sunday morning.

PS: Is there a website to  get a program before i leave ( Got down there last year and just missed 2 Alfa races and had to wait an hour for another one)

PS ;Forgot to ask do you know how many alfa's are comimg down from QLD & NSW. There were so great 105's last year and it would be good to cheer them on again.

Hi Paul,

The club will have a presence @ PI again this year both on and off the track.  I believe there will be a display of Alfa's although I am not too sure if there is a convoy organised.....maybe someone else can answer ???

There is a website that you can get the entry list from, but at this stage there is no program to download, www.vhrr.com.  There is an Alfa presence in the following, Div 2 Regularity, Group N, Group S, Group C.  I have a program here and on Saturday morning is practice, the first event (with an Alfa) kicks off at 1.20pm (Regularity).

On Sunday is racing all day long! First event at 9.05am (again Regularity).  There will be a bunch of Alfa's set up in the Pits over by turn 4 (Honda), come over and say hello!

Cheers,
Phil.

Paul, following on from Phil's reply, there is an area reserved for an Alfa car display along the main straight opposite the pits.  (if you contact our social secretaries, they might still be able to get you in).

The comp cars from all states will hopefully all be "garaged" together in the 'spare' pit area near turn 4.  That could mean up to a dozen AROCA cars.

There is no formal parade drive down to the circuit but a great idea for the future.

Events start @ 0900 SAT & SUN with regularity being the kick off (me) and completes around 1600.

No formal dinner gatherings at this stage although there will be some around i am sure.

Thanks Ed

I actually found some of this information on a post / thread from Scott's group S pages. Better make sure i'm there at 9.00am to see your lastest project circulating. ( Red is probably a little easier on the eyes at 9.00 am as opposed to yellow or custard.)

In the meantime go Cats on Friday night.

Cheers
