WTB: 1982 gtv ignition barrel

Hi all,

as some of you may know, I had an unfortunate incident with my key and ignition barrel awhile ago.

thought I'd prob best start looking around for a replacement, so if anyone has any ideas or parts..

I require 1 ignition barrel and key.

and..probably, instructions on how to do it

Will a '79 GTV barrel fit?  I have no idea what they're worth but I have a good one taken from my Gp S car.

yes they are the same. but you never know!!!!!!!
there is a trick to get old locks out, the retaining  screw used from the factory has a bald head that has no slot  for a screwdriver or allen key you need to cut a slot in the head of the screw  with a hacksaw blade to be able to unscrew it. the screw is also recessed into the steering column housing you need to also cut into it as well to reach the screw. I then replace it with an allen bolt
once you undo the screw the removal of the barrel is easy
if you could get your old one out and measure it for a comparison with the one nigelC has just to
sure.

I have an ignition switch from an 80 model gtv 40mm x 60mm length  80mm if you include the extension for the steering lock

also have an Alfa75 switch from an 86 model 40mm  x 65mm length 85 with extension

sorry they are not for sale as they are  my own spares
