As promised in my "introducing myself" thread I've taken a few photos of the interior of my 156 now that I've replaced the original gear knob with a Momo Sphere in black. I also got a nice set of Momo Stealth Airmetal pedals. The first gear knob I received didn't have the thread for the lateral screw properly made and needed to be exchanged. The lovely people at Autotek in Tullamarine got me another gear knob from Sydney and gave me a great price on the pedals for my troubles.

They certainly add a nice touch to the interior. The only blemish is the handbrake button, which has the "plasti-chrome" half chipped off. Anyone swapped a handbrake level on a 156

The rain we had on Saturday in Melbourne has made me think twice about the Momo pedals, as they are so slippery if the soles of your shoes are damp. I ended up driving 1st to 2nd to 4th to limit gear changes. Even trying to just use my toes on the rubber bits on the lower portion of the pedal wasn't much help.

The second major scare was that I hit the brake and accelerator at the same time whilst slowing to turn right onto the Hume Freeway from Cooper Street. Luckily I had a green arrow and was on the outside turn lane, so I hade more room to manouvre and managed to get around the corner at 60 clicks. The tyres didn't screech or slip (it was damp) and I felt the ASR apply the brakes to steady the car. Absolutley s*%t myself!

The standard pedals are quite closely spacee together and the Momo pedals are about 3mm wider either side. I'll be moving the accelerator pedal cover over to the right some more.
