In common with many 75's, mine is suffering from the drooping roof lining syndrome- feels like a middle eastern restaurant!

Has anyone experience with a motor trimmer who has successfully solved this problem for a reasonable price? If so, I would appreciate contact details.

Thanks.

there are a few people wrecking 75's you should be able to get a good one some where they are not that hard to change, until u get it fixed use thumb tacks to hold it up i had a quote once of $600 but i had to pull it out myself and the colour was also a little diff as its hard to get the right colours now,

Thanks Dehne. I understand there are people in Sydney who can do it well for around $400, just hoping I could find someone in Melbourne around that price.

Hi Tastarga,

Give C & N Motor Trimmers in Sunshine 9311 0722 a try.

You could do it yourself, I did mine wasn't too hard as its a moulded roof lining.

You can remove the roof lining carefully through one of the rear doors, once its out peel away the old material and clean the mould from excess foam and glue. I purchased pre laminated (foam backed) material that was the closest color grey to the original and adhered it to the mould using a trimmer contact adhesive. Came out pretty good, only tricky part was around the interior light/upper console area.

Just need a bit of time and some patience but up to you

Good Luck

Cheers Pep

There's quite a detailed thread on AlfaBB on this subject with instructional pictures too. I got a quote from an auto trimmer on Rosamond rd. near highpoint for $350 , one day turn around too, just haven't had a spare day to give it to him yet.

My grand daughter decided the 75 was a great place to play today so while i was the passenger in the back seat i noticed the roof liner in mine looks a doona :-(

Wow, they're charging a LOT to do the job. If you remove the headliner, there is one hour's work plus say 2m of material. So $88 labour plus material at $45-50/m.......
