As much as I was glad to read that bit of news on Veloce Today I am growing suspicious that this is just a bit of political bravado from Milan to stick it to Turin. Not really sure how much weight this has anyway as the museum, the building and the content, are owned by Fiat, and all the cost is still paid by Fiat. If the town of Arese or Comune of Milano offered to buy the museum from Fiat that would be a sign of real commitment and care for the cause. Call me cynical if you like but I do not see anything much more substantial than a bit of  flag waving and chest beating here.
Also, Italy is a country where they strongly believe in, and live by the motto that it is easier to get forgiveness then approval, country where you build before you seek building permit and a country where it is an accepted wisdom that most laws and regulations are simply a suggestion.
