Hi Guy's,

While trawling the internet, I came across this. Didn't know there was a manual option outside of the 164Q

Interesting.  May be a private import from NZ or somewhere in Asia.  Price looks ok considering local rarity and mileage too.

The 164 was available in most markets with a 5-speed manual, Australia being one of the exceptions to offer auto-only. So yeah, this is most likely a private import. Big difference in performance - the manual's quicker and overall it's a much more responsive car to drive. There's no such thing as a 164 GT though, someone's taking creative licence there.

there is no 164 gt there listing is wrong as they also say in it that its an auto which is wrong. i did not see that it was imported (maybe i missed reading that, as i only really looked at the pics) my guess is that it is a Q but were some of the 24 valve,s that were imported manuals

Nah definitely not a Q - if you look at the interior it's all base model 164 stuff.  No suspension adjustment switchgear, no red stitching, no Q-style seats & the AFM / rubber intake hose looks like a standard one.  Speedo also looks to have both MPH and KMH on it.  I'm guessing it's either a personal or Brian Foley import.  Not a bad price for a low km car with a rare manual box though...
