166 tail lights/parkers

My 166 has no tail lights/parkers/number plate lights when the switch is in the 'sidelight' position, ie only when the ignition is on. The lights all work in the 'always on' position, and no fuses are blown and the light switch itself appears to be ok.

I'm now thinking ignition switch or a plug & socket somewhere.

Any suggestions on a way of diagnosing this before I get a kick up the backside?

Anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram?
