For my input,

I raced the 156gta for 3 years or so, and have raced many transaxcles, 4's and v6's, all in all sorts of weather conditions.

What I found is that the FWD was far superior in the wet. In the dry I did get the FWD to a point where it handled as well as a RWD, but it did take a different style of driving with some tricks, and a lot of set up work. I was one that was always against FWD's for racing until we sorted it out.

In saying all that, I love my orange GTV6  ::)
