error code 04433

Hi everyone,

i'm new to this forum. I have been getting a yellow engine light on my dash for the past couple of months. I have taken it to my mechanic and it comes up with error code 04433 which says that it is undocumented. The car appears to be running fine. My mechanic says that the diagnostic software he has is about 6 months and there may be a new update available now which he is still to aquire. Anyway does anyone know what this error code means? I have searched the internet but no luck after putting various search words into google.

who is your mechanic? is this using examiner?

being an engine fault, i would expect a PXXXX code... P0XXX is general OBD2 code, but P1XXX is alfa specific...
