Does anyone know the size of the bolts on the spacer on the front of the crankshaft pulley? - Car is 1983 GTV6.

I was turning the engine over to clean up the timing marks on the pulley and noticed that there are only two bolts left. Hopefully it's fallen out - not sheared off.

Thanks in anticipation,
AL

Thanks Sportiva. Had a look with an inspection mirror last night - the head of the bolt has sheared off. Thanks anyway.

Undo the other two bolts and pull off the spacer this might expose whats left of the bolt.
Sometimes you can turn them out easily with vice grips , pliers or any other suitable tool

Good suggestion. Might work, but looks like there are only a few mm that might be left sticking out and given that the bolt has sheared , what is left is probably in there pretty tight (24-26mm of thread?) Lord knows how long it's been like that, could be years.

If the bolt has rusted it might be hard to undo, but if not then it should come out with a little WD40.
Most of the tension is against the head of a bolt when it is tightened, when the head breaks off the tension is released, so unless the thread is rusted or damaged [might be why the bolt head came off] I think it will probably come out with not to much trouble
