Hi guys ,
I'm sure you are aware that the 2010 AROCA Spettacolo Show and Shine is being held on November 14th.  In addition to this there will be a "100 Year Walk" parade that will showcase Alfa Romeo design over the century .  I have been asked to find members who are willing to display their cars from the 900 series members and non members.
What I am looking for is a pristine Alfa Sprint of any year , a Alfa Sud of any year , and a 33 from the 80's , my 16V will round out the last of the 33 models .
Cars must be in pristine condition and preferably as close to original as possible . If you are interested or know of someone who has the models required please email me pics of the vehicle to help make the selection. email is mvsifredi@iinet.net.au

Thanks guys ,

Martin

Hi Martin,

I have a Grey 1989 built 1990 model Series 2 33 1.7ie that is quite nice, if you cannot find a beautiful one let me know and I'll give her a scrub up and bring her along.I believe Miss Alfa Sprint has one that has just been painted which would be the best choice though.

Good Luck

^ I've got one of them  ;D

I would describe it as clean but not pristine... It's pretty close to original, the only thing i can really think of off the top of my head is the slightly newer tape deck. If you're interested I'll take some photos of the imperfections so you can judge how serious they are for yourself, a few minor things it's mainly some paint fade on the roof and a dint behind the rear right door.

I agree with Sheldon's suggestion even if you don't use mine as i think the 4x4 wagons (designed by pininfarina btw!) are an interesting, relatively unknown and unique part of Alfa's history

Hi guys , the wagon is a good idea yes.. so Ben get me those photos , and maybe swing by my house and we can spruce it up .

If all of you can take some reasonable photos of the cars that we have just spoken about and email me the photos along with owners name and Mobile number please, this will make selection a great deal easier .

thanks for the feedback so far ,

Martin

Hi Martin

John Hanslow mentioned the parade at the Beninca dyno day and asked if I would bring the Sud. Have displayed the car many times over the last 10 years and planned to display again at Spectacollo 2010. Sud is a 1983 Ti Twin Carby that is in great condition (should be after 18 years ownership). Paint is excellent, no rust and car is straight.

Car has won 3 show 'n' shines since 2000.

Let me know your thoughts.

Regards
Paul

There's at least one Sud wagon floating round Melbourne too.

Ben33

I'll take those photos for you tomorrow Martin  :) Sounds good!
It would be amazing if you could get a sud wagon, I had no idea there was even one in Australia! They're a stupidly rare thing from what I understand.

Yeah Sheldon. Agree that a Giardinetta would be great to see. Have not seen the one you mentioned for a few years. Hope is still around.

Martinsifredi

does any one know who is the owner of the Giardinetta ?  if any one can help out to locate this car it would be really appreciated . as for spaces available for the 100 Year walk display . This has yet to be established .

Hi there Martin  Good work.  Paul, Sheldon etc, your contributions and comments are appreciated.  THe past winner Sud ti will be of value I am sure, get a good sprint (QV) and we are home and hosed.

The 33 Monte Carlo Wagon or similar would be good.  Even if not quite up to top condition required, it can be placed on the centre field for show and shine.  Even intersate vehicle welcome.

In all we will have a display of notable cars post 1960 so it is really important to get the communication out there for the Historical Walk and the display field too where all are welcome.  I would like to see as many suds and 33s on the field this year so Colin Thomas may have a few contact too.

Heya

I have a 1985 Type 33 (Gold Quad). Almost immaculate but totally original. I'm up in Canberra but I think there are a few AROCA from ACT that are planning on coming to the Spettacolo.

Cheers

Hey guys, all intersate members welcome.

We will probably have a award for interstate club members or AROCa members so your participation in a show and shine is most appreciated.

The feature cars will be in the 100 year walk of Alfa History, but there is still a lot of action in the field with our various registers on display - last year over 220 cars on show !
