Just a quick post here.  We seek notable vehicles so I ask two things:

1.  If you have a great/showroom condition vehicle , say 147 GTA 156 TS Monza, Sport or GTA, a 156 JTS Ti, a 166 Sports pack or the updated Ti, spider and GTV V6 let us know as we need a collection to add to the 100 year whistoric walk at Spettacolo in November.

2.  Also we need the usual good representation on the field for the Show and Shine.

Part of the 100 year effort is to show the evolution in design of our cars.  So the change from early 932 series thru to the Giugiaro design is a good example as this sets the theme for the current model series.

I know there are good GTA models out there and even a red 166 with sport option additions as a display car at a motor show.  We need these and the usual variety of 932 cars to represent this era of the Alfa brand.

Contact your local Register Captain (or text me) for more info.  Just seeking possible carss as entrants for the historical aspect here but you can start to get your car ready for the Wash and SHine.

CHeers.

i would be able to help you out with the 147 gta, as its ineligible for show and shine anyway as its last years previous winner, oh and peoples choice lol.

did i mention its one of the last cars that came here, being an 06, and ofcourse alfa 130 red. what else could you want?

ok ok you got me john, id be delighted.

John Hanslow

All applications welcome.  I am os at the moment but will look at this next week or discuss at De Dion night.

Remember that we have a previous winner class that is in fact hotly contested.

Let your mates know what is going on and if necessary get them to join the club.

Hey John,

I have a red 156 TS monza selespeed if you are interested. Has the factory side skirts, 16inch selespeed wheels, cloth interior and black gauges.

If you need a facelift 156 jts ti i have a friend who has one in that champagne colour as well as another mate who owns a 75 3.0litre that sees daylight only a few times a year.

PM me if you need to.

John Hanslow

Thanks for the offers, will look at our options very soon.

Priority will be given to club members and as for friends cars, they are indeed welcome.  In any event, all friends (join up asap or on the day) are welcome to bring their cars along and enter into the wash n shine.

We do have a visitor category but that was hotly contested.  If they want to have a really rewarding day, polish the car up, detail externally and enter into the relevant class.

Thanks.

Anyone konw of a nice GT to display ?.

shiny_car

Thanks. :)

I probably only have the opportunity to bring one car up to Spettacolo, whether it be my GT or 155 (and presumably not my bog standard 159SW Ti).

Who's going to choose for me?!  ??? :P

My GT is very much a show car, tuned accordingly, but nothing garish (I think!). It will be fresh from car audio National Finals the fortnight before, so hopefully I will compete well there (in Newcastle).

155 is neat and tidy, and pretty unique for Australia.

Sounds like you need a cloning booth :P

shiny_car , I would suggest the 155 if you can only bring one.  I'm sure there will be plenty of GTs, but can almost guarantee no other 155s, and certainly none as nice as your example.

John Hanslow

A 155 will be a worthy inclusion in the 100 year historical display.

Will add to the list of possibilities for follow up.

Cheers.
