There were 3 Alfa's running at Historic Winton on the weekend, following are their results;

Group S.
Me. Alfetta GTV #58.
Qualified 13th (1.12.86).  R1 - DNF.  R2 - 7th.  R3 - 11th.

Bit of an up & down weekend....Qualified 13th (was hoping to squeeze into the top 10, but not to be).  R1 was a 10 lap Scratch, ran up the back of a Shelby GT350 in turn 1 and did a little damage to the front, not too bad though, then had the dipstick tube come out and pump oil onto the extractors and blew a heap of smoke so they gave me the meatball flag and I had to DNF.  R2 was a 5 lap handicap (reverse grid and staggered start), so started around 17th, finished 7th outright (crossed the line 3 wide, if the finish line was another 30 meters down the road would have finished 5th!).  R3 was an 8 lap scratch (got red flagged after 5 laps) with starting position based on finish of R1, so I started rear of grid (25th), finished 11th (moved up to 14th by end of lap 1) and posted my best lap of the weekend 1.12.20.

Group Nc

Keith Wong (SA). 105 #74
Qualified 22nd (1.13.03). R1 - 20th.  R2 - 5th.  R3 - 14th.

Spencer Rice (NSW). 105 #29
Qualified 3rd (1.08.74). R1 - 18th. R2 - 25th. R3 - 22nd.

Hi Phil. It was a great day spectating and fantastic to watch your progress in the last race. Watching you pick off the white porsche (and then pull away from it)was a highlight! Red cars really do go faster!

Yea phil, nice one, sounds like the car has some pace to it if you can move throught the pack like that, what tyres are you running? (I know a lot of people run a spring on the dipstick to hold it in, or are you talking about the actually tube that's screwed into the block?)

I am running the Yokohama 048's.  On Saturday I had the pressure too high and the car felt pretty loose, so i dropped a couple of pounds on Sunday and it felt like a different car.

It was the dipstick tube that goes into the block, the only difference is mine isnt threaded it is an interference fit, i just knocked it back in and put a sealant around the base....I too am now running a spring!
