good evening. this weekend targa west is being run and its looking to be a good one. a nice touch is the sunday spectator stages on the foreshore that will provide some great vieweing of the racecars as well as displays from more than 20 car clubs.

Aslo, paul blank (classicrally.com.au) is holding a one day rally on 19 september and another in november. anyone looking to enter? alfas are usually pretty poorly represented in these but theyre great events

JOHN G

I looking at entering the November event but more likely the last blast in December.I want to beat Andrews quick time in his 105 LOL.
Aussiechiva which car are you ? So I can come and say hello,I will be in a GTV6

wow, looking at your signature which GTV6?
while pricier i find the one dayers let you open the car up a bit more than the stand-alone midvale events. the series out at the airport are even better though.

i'll be there on september 19 and november in a black sprint unless i find something else in the meantime. last time he entered the one day event last year andrew was in a lotus so was a bit too powerful to catch

JOHN G

Either the Black 3.0 or Red Grand Prix 3.0.

a belated update to this - the event was run and won and it was excellent. some of the stages enabled you to really test the car and keep the boot in. unfortunately there was only one other alfa (1750GTV that unfortunately broke down) and only a couple of other Italians (Fiat x19, Fiat 124Rallye and a De Tomaso Pantera).

The next one day rally is being held on 21 November and there are usually some excellent courses run. Lots of good people to mix with. Hope to see more Alfas out there in my absence (I'll be co-driving for a mate this time around as a returned favour).

Pics of the day can be seen here: http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i180/dodgsun/Shannons%201day%20classic%202010/

Spider Man

I'll try to have my car up and running for november....
Spider Pig- Spider Pig, Does what ever a Spider Pig does..

aussiehcviva

look forward to seeing you out. I have not seen a spider competing at one of these events in a long time

the organisers updated the results of the rally - Alfa wins the up to 2 litre class.

very pleased

the Sprint was also the fastest Italian car of the day
