Hey

Just picked up my new 100th Anniversary edition GT (v happy!).  Bloody rain ensured it stay shiny for long and got me thinking, should I consider paint protection?  I've always thought it was a bit of a rip-off to be honest, but maybe since my last new car technology has advanced.  Also, does anyone know how the paint comes from the factory?  Has it been polished recently?  Should I give it a loving polish this weekend?

Keen to hear advice.

Thanks

John Hanslow

Do not know what polish is on it now but how about looking at a quality polishto give a some further protection.  Check out Auto Glym or Meguiars range and buy what you need.

I know the car is new but you may need a few products, i.e. a wax followed by a finish, and a sealer to coat the wheels so they are easy to clean.

Cheers.

I will look into both ranges, and the wheel sealant sounds like an excellent idea.

Thanks again.

I swear by the products from Damian, at final inspection.  They are very high end and really turn the car into a different beast all together. Weve used them on the Gta for a long time , and the red really pops. The best benefits of all are the ease of cleanup after a brown rain storm, makes your job a hell of alot easier keeping the car glowing.

Try looking through his products in the below link, theres even a forum, but id highly recommend even with a new car, getting him to give it the once over and lay down a coat of product, as a proper base to keep clean from there. lol Even from new, my brothers brand new black 159 came with swirls and streaks, so it is worth doing a new car.

Thanks David

I did glance his site and it looked interesting.  Hard to know who's good unless there's a recommendation.  I'll give him a call and book it in.

Thanks
