I got in contact with a nice guy called Jeff from http://www.alfarestore.com

I asked if he could put me onto Alfa parts supply companies he uses - he sent me a very comprehensive list  ;D

I have not been able to sort through them all, and I'm sure most of you guys are aware of them but I thought I might post them anyway.

On the Standox web site, click on "General Search", then enter the three digit Alfa paint code in the "color code" field. The system will return a list of car makers who used that paint code. Select "Alfa Romeo" and you'll get choices.

http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/COLOR-Search/index.html

On the Glasurit web site, enter "AR" in the "Manufacturer's code" box and your three digit Alfa paint code in the "Colour code" box. You'll get a response for a color with with the option to select either the various paint technologies.

This information should be sufficient to get the correct paint from a DuPont dealer.

That is a very comprehensive list, but don't discount the local guys....specifically the businesses that support our club, which you can see from clicking on the sponsor's link.  These guys are a gold mine of knowledge and have most if not all of the parts you will require for just about any job you can think of with an Alfa.

Please support the businesses that support us!  All we can ask is give them a go first, if you don't find what you are after locally, then by all means use the above.

Thanks for that link Gail - I will have a better look at it when I'm not at work.

Oh and yes I agree Phil - I fully support local businesses even if they are not the cheapest option.

In fact I've just spent around 21k on restoring my 105, thus far - all of which has gone to local businesses.

It's just that I've ran out of funds to restore my car and I also work away.

Any alfa parts stores that offer what I need - within my very tight budget requirements and which also allows me to order online while I'm away from Perth - are the people I need to use in my current predicament unfortunately.

Sorry for being a doofus, but I can't see the 'sponsors' link anywhere...

MOSTRO

The guy (Adam) has been banned from Ausalfa.com as well for being way to pushy on his sales tactics and "spamming" the for sale section.

Anthony Miller

This guy(33 4X4) would be the same guy who sold Storm X (chris) some rims, charged him for packaging, then sent the rims unpackaged with a dirty great and obviously old crack in one of the rims and then abused Chris when taken to task over the crack.....
