I think Mille Miglia is wrecking a 164Q so may have a box available.  No doubt the price would be somewhere similar to this figure though.

Milano Spares were wrecking a manual Hong Kong import (not a Q) a few months ago.  It was a black car.  Give them a try...

There is a Q for sale on Car Sales for $3k.  

You may negotiate a lower price - is it cheaper getting the whole car ?

hmm interesting , because i ahve a registered 166 sitting in the driveway the in running condition and with a faulty gearbox ecu and its like 2k to replace it so i was wondering if i can fit a 164 gear box im sure i can a manual that is

The 166 used the 6-speed box manual also used in the 156, that might be just as easy (or no less difficult) to find. There was one on ebay last week but it may have gone. At least you know it would fit, the 164 box might be more of a lottery.

i had no idea that it used the same box as the 156
