The throttle cable on my GTV6 is frayed and is catching and not decelerating.  I am assuming it is an OEM replacement I need either new or from a wrecker.  Anyone ever had to source one of them before?

There is a new one on Ebay at the moment for $22.
Search for 'GTV6 Accelerator cable'. Click the 'Worldwide' box.

Are the throttle cables the same length for left and right hand drive vehicles?

excellent point, I suspect not, the throttle butterfly will be on the right still so the US one should be longer.  I will have to find one in Australia.

Have you tried an instrument servicing place?  They can often make up cables on request.

Where can I source throttle cables for the GTV6?
I have been waiting a month for the idiots at flexible drive agencies in Perth to make up cables and then they cocked them up.
Can somebody confirm if the LHD cables are compatible with RHD ?

In the end I went to a bike shop, found a cable with a generally similar end on it to connect to the actuator on the firewall.  I then cut the threaded end off the original cable and drilled the old cable out.  Then I cut the new bike cable to length, feed it through the old sheath and silver soldered the threaded end back on.

It was actually my 13 year old sons idea as he looked at it one day and said it was just like his BMX bike.
