I know Paul Edwards has his christmas video up, but i thought it would be a nice idea to start a Merry Christmas AROCA Thread!! 

To all my Alfa Buddies and Friends wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Joining the club this year, has been the best idea! Thanks to all those at Spettacolo 2009 for influencing me to join 

I am looking foward to more Alfa Romeo filled adventures with AROCA in 2011!!!

Merry Christmas all, another great Alfa club year!  I'd like to share this poem with you.  It appeared in The Age last Christmas eve, penned by Danny Katz.  Had me in stitches the first time I read it and still makes me laugh. I hope you like it.  (Apologies for any offense taken)


'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
Santa paced around, feeling totally shouse.
This year had been crud, he felt wasted and puffed
And with hours to go, Saint Nick couldn't be stuffed.

Things started bad with this climate change crisis
The sun melted all of the polar cap ices. 
He had to shut shop, relocate to dry land
a small festive spot called Christmas Island.

But he hated it there, t'was too muggy and damp
And his elves were crammed up in a refugee camp
Soon all the brawling got outta control
between Sri Lankan pixies and Afghan trolls.

Then in March, Mrs Claus said: "Oi Nick, it's the end. 
Youre old and you're fat and I'm schtupping your friend. 
That l'il Drummer Boy is virile and hot,
He rumpa-pum-pumps all night in the cot"

So Mrs Claus moved out, took all of his dough,
what a cougar she was, what a ho ho ho ho!
Then her sex tape with Frosty soon got leaked online
at SnowmanPorn.com for $1.99

And if that wasn't enough to get 'ol Santa pissed
All the young kids said he didn't exist.
His self-worth was shattered by children so cynical,
Soon he was treated for "Depression (clinical)"

First Prozac! Then Cymbalta, Zoloft, Zyprexa!
Next Effexor, Emsam, Xanax, Celexa! 
He even did cocaine, sniffed dose after dose
Supplied by his dealer, Rudolf the Red-Nose

When that didn't work he tried Yoga, Qi Gong,
Smoked low-GI hash from a gluten-free bong
Did weekends in Daylesford getting charkas attuned
By Grand Healing Reiki Lords, Gazza and June

And all through this horror, he kept building toys
Small dollies for girls, wooden horses for boys
And a whole stack of golliwogs, no way were they racist
with their cute woolly afros and sweet pop-eyed faces

But his elves said his toys were outdated and boring
Kids wanted stuff with face shooting and whoring
Games about war with more blood, sex and pus
And zombified Nazis, MA15 Plus

So he tried building X-Box games, Play Station too
It wasn't so easy with just wood and glue
He even made iPods but Apple weren't thrilled
They sued and they settled for $2.6mil

Then to cap off a crap year, came even worse news
PETA accused him of reindeer abuse. 
It broke his poor heart, he just couldn't see why!
He'd just caged them and whipped them and forced them to fly

But they picketed, protested, caused an imbrglio,
Did a TV campaign starring Natalie Imbruglia
Freed all his reindeer and smashed his old sleigh 
Burnt all his fur clothes and drove him away. 

So now here he was - naked, bankrupt and maudlin.
A lifeless and wifeless and homeless ol' goblin. 
And delivering presents he wouldn't get far
On a cheap red-eye package deal, flying Jetstar.

Santa sighed sadly, considered his duty,
scratched his old sack and swung his big booty. 
Thought of the kiddies in bed safely tucked,
And cried "Merry Christmas to all, and to all just get $#@&!"

buon natale a tutti

It was nice to see my kids open up their Ben10 and Dora presents this morning from under the tree and we also had a visit from Santa, but no one thought about me and the gtv6 front bumper that I need after someone smashed into me, Oh well maybe next xmas.

as we speak.
