On M7 just near the M4 turn off. In an awful maroon colour. Driving very sedately.

Probably still a promotional car.

Drove one about a month and a half two months ago ... very nice car :)

I saw one too, the same colour on Crockford St, Port Melbourne. Not the best colour

I went and checked them out at Alf Barbagallo in Perth - they have 3 QV's and 1 non-QV in stock, I'd have to say I'd prefer the QV for the lower ride height and amazing alloys but was a little disappointed with the dash set up....and the nasty cloverleaf badge that denotes the QV which is just a white "bubble sticker" stuck on the front guard...and it seems that the sales folk at AB have actually been schooled in the new model and can tell YOU about the cars rather than having the Alfisti telling THEM what the features are....

As someone who knows someone who has taken delivery of a QV in that "awful maroon colour" I'll stand up for him and say there are worse choices!

That "awful maroon" colour is called Maranello Red.  It is the closest red I've seen to the the fantastic 8C Competitizone red.  And when 8C and Giulietta are parked side by side, (as we saw many of them in Milano last year) then you can appreciate that the "awful" colour is in fact quite stunning.... I would have that colour!

Have a close look at the bubble sticker next time.  It is an embossed hard plastic badge, not a cheapie 3D bubble sticker.  And of course any Alfisti would have noticed that the stem of the cloverleaf is correctly pointing to the rear of the car on both sides?   Go to spare parts and have a look at one when it's off the car and you'll see what I mean.

In Melbourne, Lance Dixon's had their Giulietta launch in mid January and Zagames will have theirs in February; so the cars are available for sale right now.

Like your serpent stickers Victor!  Funny, I found a set of unused stick on Alfa Badges for Simmons wheels the other day sitting on my rather crowded garage bench.  Another of your specials I seem to recall.....

May be the (Current Model Register) Club can organise a "Showroom" visit for those interested in the new car.

It is also a good welcome event for new members.

3D bubble sticker?  I'm sure I've seen one of those on a GTV6 somewhere....  ;D

Jekyll And Hyde: I do not know you, and since you did not put any emoticons in your last posting, then I assume you are serious in calling me a liar, which I do not appreciate and uncalled for. ???

Since you've appeared to have seen my GTV6 in the flesh, and also those local Victorian Alfisti have also seen, then you would know that it is NOT a 3D bubble sticker, but a colour printed self adhesive sticker, and obviously my signature avatar is not a 3D bubble sticker either.  So I do not know what you are trying to gain by making such an accusation!

My reference to the "bubble badge" on the QV is that it is simply NOT a 3D bubble badge made from clear resin domed over a sticker; but rather made from hard plastic.  The cloverleaf has a silver border which is then itself embossed onto the white triangle surrounds.  It is quite an elegant looking badge.

Victor, post removed.  As per the PM I sent, it obviously came across as a slur rather than a stir.

My apologies.  :-[

And for its worth, the 3d sticker dig was a reference to the holographic pattern of the sticker rather than its physical form.  ;)

Hi J&H,

PM received and also thanks for your last post.  All's good.  :)

Cheers
